Sweet About a Late Family Christmas

With the business of New Years and having a pretty big extended family it took us a while to set a date for annual Christmas celebrations, but finally it happened.  Yesterday afternoon we gathered at the local Recreational Club for dinner, dessert and presents.  It was a cool afternoon with the everyone having fun swimming in the pool and challenging me to a game of barefoot tennis - please note I do not endorse the participation in barefoot tennis as it leaves the bottoms of your feet slightly grazed and very sore.

So after everyone had worn themselves out we dug into the food.  There was Nando's chickens, ceaser salad, garden salad, homemade coleslaw and potato salad, bruschettas, and relishes - literally every sort of salad you can think of.  Followed by Pavlova and Cheesecake.

After our late Christmas dinner I turned shutterbug and snapped photos of all my wonderful family, who quite honestly have model potential.  Now as a disclaimer I have to say only the lighting/shadowing in these photos have been enhanced and the photos were only taken on a very old digital camera.

So thank you so much to my beautiful family for a wonderful afternoon, it was a treat.  Please don't forget to follow me on bloglovin' and +1 this post!

Keep it Sweet,
Cortney
