Sweet About Hot Days and Sugar Hauls

So today the temperatures on the South East Coast maxed out at 33* Celsius (91.4 F), and although this by far isn't the hottest we've seen this Summer it was definitely a pretty uncomfortable day.  So we drowned ourselves in sun cream and braved the extreme UV ratings for a game of tennis and a swim at the local rec club.  We only lasted about an hour on the tennis courts and while saying a silent prayer for the tennis players in Melbourne we cooled off in the pool.

After the pool I decided it was time for a well deserved sugar fix and consequently ended up raiding the confectionery isle at our local supermarket.  Now only the packet of jelly babies, bananas, and half a Mars Bar made it home and the Freddo Frog and bottle of SOLO were just too delicious to save.

So now as the day draws to a close and the sweet smell of lasagna drifts throughout the neighborhood, dark clouds begin to roll in over the sea and we all hope for a spot of rain.

Hope we get some rain tonight, the dam next door is getting quite low!

Keep it sweet,
Cortney
